CCA's Ashburn Library Gets an Honorable Mention at StarNet Design Awards
April 30, 2004 - Amelia Island, FL

While Commercial Carpets of America's ("CCA") Ashburn Library Project entry didn't win first place, it did win an Honorable Mention (2nd place) in StarNet's Public Space category. The StarNet Design Awards are given each year for projects that feature outstanding, well-executed designs with a wide variety of products that are provided by StarNet members from around the country.

This Phillips Swager Associates (PSA) designed library project featured interior flooring products of Lees broadloom carpet and carpet tile, and Forbo linoleum. According to James Beight, Principal Project Designer for PSA, products for this project "were chosen for both their aesthetic and performance qualities. The interior reflects the programmed functions of the facility that matches the mission of the Loudoun County Public Library providing 'knowledge inspiration and enjoyment for all'." This was just one of the high profile done by CCA in 2003, and was a favorite of CCA's Commercial Group Manager, Ralph Grove, who said, "While Ashburn [library] required considerable coordination to install, the combination of products specified by PSA resulted in a wonderful project for us. We're delighted to receive this award."
